Our School Motto “Stand Firm in Faith” was chosen as a sign to all that the school community of St. Paul’s Primary School has the highest ideals in the tradition of St. Paul and centred on the faith of the living Gospel. The new school badge depicting the Mercy Heritage, St Paul's journey, the foundation of the Gospel and the saving power of Christ was created in 1992.
This symbol is the largest and central symbol on the crest. It represents Christ as the centre of the life of our community of St. Paul’s. It recognises that we are centred on the person of Jesus and grounded in the Scriptures, in the teachings, traditions of faith and prayer in the Catholic Church and the witness of its past and present saints and scholars.
This represents the waters of Baptism and the waters of the Hunter River giving life and nurturing growth.
This represents the Word of God found in the Bible and our school’s aspiration to reflect the foundational values of justice, truth, peace, forgiveness, love, reconciliation and the service to others. It also represents our aspiration to develop a challenging, authentic and inclusive educational environment that encourages lifelong learning.
This is the symbol of the Singleton Sisters of Mercy who established and founded St. Paul’s school.
This represents the journey of St. Paul as he spread the Good News and links with the role of the school as part of the evangelising mission of the Church.
