At St Paul’s we strive for a just society, built through a compassionate community that challenges injustice and values diversity. We encourage compassionate, just actions in all areas of human social endeavours by connecting, supporting, promoting, challenging and championing social justice locally and globally.

At St Paul’s our work in social justice is guided by Catholic Social Teachings. Catholic Social Teaching covers all spheres of life – economic, political, personal and spiritual.

The principles include:

  • Dignity of the human person
  • The common good
  • Subsidiarity and participation
  • Solidarity
  • Preferential option for the poor
  • Stewardship of Creation
  • Promotion of peace
  • Economic justice
